Isabell and Stefan: Trip 2.11.2016 and 04.11.2016
We were picked up by a local (our future tour guide) on the street in Nairobi and were brought to Omo's office. We were suprised to meet someone there who speaks fluently German - Omo! He asked us about our interests and budget and gave us an individual offer which really met our expectations. The price for the safaris was much lower than the costs offered by our hostel.
He organized our trip to Mount Longonot and the safari in Hell's Gate National Park. This included the transfer (pick up at the hotel), the guide, the entry and additional costs like a boat trip or bicycles for the safari.
Besides, we also chatted about different topics concerning Germany and Kenya. We were fully satisfied with Omo's services. We can highly recommend him to any future visitors.
We would be happy if we could meet up in Berlin one day when Omo visits the ITB again :).

Um das Ergebnis gleich vorweg zu nehmen: Es war ein wirklich rundherum toller und erlebnisreicher Urlaub! Alles war perfekt organisiert!!
Omo von AfroMasalaAdventure, Nairobi, hat unseren Individual-Urlaub einfach perfekt geplant! Alles hat termingerecht und gut geklappt. Wir waren zu Dritt und haben in den 16 Tagen sehr viel vom Land gesehen, viele Menschen kennengelernt und Einblicke erhalten, die wir allein oder auch mit einem deutschen Reiseveranstalter wohl nie erhalten hätten.
Natürlich war es für uns dabei sehr hilfreich, dass Omo perfekt (!!) Deutsch spricht und selbstverständlich auch Englisch, Kisuaheli und andere lokale Sprachen beherrscht. Er und sein erfahrener Mitarbeiter Boni haben uns absolut zuverlässig und sicher quer durch das Land gefahren.
Ihre Freundlichkeit und ihre guten Kontakte haben uns sowohl direkt am Strand des Indischen Ozeans wohnen und entspannen lassen als auch in ein traumhaft gelegenes und von Massai Kriegern bewachtes Camp geführt einschließlich einem atemberaubenden Ausblick in die Masai Mara. Mitten im "Nichts" aber versorgt mit allem was man liebt, bis hin zu einem leckeren English Breakfast mit sehr netten Gastgebern!
Boni hat uns "hautnah" zu den Big Five gebracht, Masai haben uns ihr Dorf und Ihre Hütten gezeigt, wir haben mit einem local Guide das "Hells Gate" durchquert und sind durch den National Park gewandert, vorbei an Zebras, Gazellen, Wildschweinen, Giraffen ... und haben im durch Geothermie gespeisten SPA in wohliger Wärme entspannt. Boni hat uns mit dem Landcruiser absolut sicher über Feldwege, Pisten, durch Flussbette und über volle Strassen (z.B. kreuz und quer durch Nairobi) chauffiert. Auf den Wegen haben wir sehr viel vom Leben der Bevölkerung erfahren und tolle Gespräche geführt.
Man merkt es sicherlich, ich bin immer noch voll der vielen Eindrücke, von denen ich einfach mal völlig ungeordnet einige nennen möchte. Wir haben den Nakuru National Park besucht, sind bei Sonnenauf- und -untergang über den Lake Baringo gefahren, wurden auf der "Isle of Love" vor der Hütte einer jungen Familie zum Tee (Chai) eingeladen und haben die Hütte der Medizinfrau im Dorf der Pokot besucht. Ich vermag gar nicht alles Erlebte aufzuzählen, der Bericht würde einfach zu lang. Wir haben die heißen Quellen im Lake Bogoria erkundet, mitten in Nakuru komfortabel genächtigt und mal wieder exzellent gefrühstückt ... Der Weg führte uns direkt über den Äquator, wo man uns auf sehr eindrucksvolle Weise den Corioliseffekt vorführte, natürlich durch das Great Rift Valley mit seinen unglaublichen Weiten, vorbei an den Klippenspringern, durch das Kerio Valley bis nach Eldoret, wo wir noch etwas entspannt haben, während Boni und Omo mit dem Landcruiser wieder nach Nairobi zurück fuhren, um uns zwei Tage später pünktlich in Nairobi am Flughafen abzuholen. In Nairobi haben wir das UN Gelände besucht (empfehlenswert - mit ausgezeichneter deutschsprachiger Führung) und den Elefantenpark, in dem man mittags der Fütterung junger Elefanten zuschauen kann (toll).
Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit, dank Omo und Boni!

My name is Julia.
Omo organized an adventure holiday in Kenya and Tanzania for me and my friends earlier this year, and now he asked me to provide feedback on this trip to you, since you are likely to be his guest soon.
To start with, Omo devoted us a lot of time and attention right from the early stage of planning the trip and all the way through it. He advised us on all aspects of the trip, and his recommendations were very reasonable and helpful. He tried to meet all our requests which was not easy, since we were a group of 7 people - each with different expectations, wishes and budgets. Some people in the group wanted to do more and were willing to pay extra, while others preferred a low-budget trip. However, Omo managed to please all of us and we could do the safari as one team.
We have travelled through both Kenya and Tanzania, and both parts of the trip were well organized. Though we had an agreed program and route, we could amend it according to our wishes and moods whenever we wanted. Omo always accommodated it accordingly. Such an individual approach can only be found with the small operators like AMA, who are very flexible.
While on the trip there was one situation that required Omo's understanding and prompt reaction. He managed it very quickly and professionally.
On some legs of the route Omo accompanied us personally to make sure that everything ran smoothly and the way we had wanted. When he was not with us he could be easily reached over the phone, and he called us himself every now and then to check if everything was fine.
I am sure that Omo will advise you better on all aspects of the trip itself (this is his job!), but if you have any questions or would like me to comment on some particular issues, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I hope this helps you to get a better picture of Omo and Afro Masala Adventrures and their way of doing business. Omo is certainly a person to be trusted with organizing and the trip and serving guests. I recommended him further to my friends who wanted to travel to East Africa.
